Rule 58
Minimum Wage Determination Committee Meeting

(1) The meeting of the Minimum Wage Determination Committee will be held on the date, time and place specified by the Chairman of the Committee.
(2) The quorum of the meeting will be considered to be reached if more than fifty percent of the members are present in the meeting of the committee representing all the three parties, including the government of Nepal, employers and trade unions.
(3) The member-secretary shall provide the written notice of the meeting and the agenda to be discussed at the meeting to the members at least three days before the date of the meeting.
(4) When calling a meeting according to sub-rule (3), if any member is informed that he/she is unable to attend the committee meeting as per clause (e) and (f) of sub-rule (1) of rule 57, an alternate member shall be invited to the committee meeting instead.
(5) The committee may invite the experts of the relevant field as necessary and also the representatives of the relevant employers and workers when determining the minimum wages for the workers employed in the nature of the employer's business and the geographical area where such business is operated.
(6) The decision of the meeting of the committee shall be verified by the member-secretary.
(7) The decision of the committee shall be based on consensus as far as possible.
(8) Other procedures related to the meeting of the committee will be determined by the committee itself.
